Recovering Well After a Demanding Trip

The trip does not really end at the jet bridge. How you handle the day or two after landing decides whether you return to work sharp or spend a week catching up on sleep you did not protect.

Give yourself a soft landing where you can. Avoid stacking a critical meeting into the first hour home, catch up on rest deliberately, and take a short walk to reset your body clock. A little recovery buys back far more productivity than powering straight through.

Close the loop on the trip too. Log the last expenses, send the follow-ups while they are fresh, and note anything you would do differently. A clean finish makes the next trip smoother.
